Wedding Questions

What day should I arrive and how long should I stay?

Our wedding day is Sunday, January 18th. We will be holding a rehearsal with the wedding party on Saturday, January 17th. Michelle and myself will personally be there with our family January 15th to January 22nd. On the 22nd we will be flying out to our honeymoon. Guests are encouraged to stay for as long or as little as their schedule allows them. In an ideal scenario, we will all spend an entire week together. Let our wedding be an excuse for your vacation getaway!

What should I wear to the wedding?

We will be having a formal attire wedding. The wedding party will receive more information on how to get fitted for their suit or brides maids dress.

Where should I book my trip?

We’re still working aggressively on finding the best prices possible for our guests. Once we have some general feedback on how many guests will be staying for how many days — we’ll have more pull with the hotel for the number of rooms we’ll need to block. Your feedback upon reception of invitations would be of tremendous assistance!

Mexico Questions

Is a passport required for flying to Mexico?

Absolutely. Mexico is international territory and will require a passport. If you already have a passport, wonderful! If you’re in need of one, we suggest taking the time to visit the following [site]. It takes an average of 4-6 weeks to receive your passport, so unless you have intentions of paying for an expedited request — we highly suggest applying for one well ahead of time.

What will the weather be like?

It is paradise all year round with clear skies 360 days of the year and temperatures averaging around 82 degrees. The rainy days generally occur in late August and September.

The days in January should be warm - warm enough to lay out by the pool and beach. Once the sun sets it does get cooler, so bring a light sweatshirt or light sweater to wear in the evening.

Do I need to exchange my dollars for pesos?

Most places in the area accept credit cards or dollars. If you do need to exchange money, we suggest only doing a small amount at a time because it is more difficult to exchange it back. The informal exchange rate is 10 pesos to $1, which is only a little less than the official exchange rate.

Montezuma’s Revenge — Can I drink the water?

The water supply for all of Dreams, Cancun is spring fed ground water. The water here is very pure, but be careful. The pipes used for distribution of the water supply and other factors can lead to contamination. Although many people drink the water directly from the tap, it is not recommended. Anywhere in the world, a change in drinking water can cause stomach distress.

We recommend that you drink only bottled or purified water. All of the major hotels purify their water or serve purified water. However, you are better off ALWAYS drinking bottled water, even to brush your teeth. Dreams Resort provides free water bottles in your rooms.

Hey, I have a question that’s not listed above, what gives?

Please fill out the form I’ve included at the top of the FAQ. Michelle or myself will respond back to you post-haste. If you prefer calling one of us, we’ve included our numbers on our save the dates. We look forward to hearing from you!
